About Me

Robyn Arthur

Growing up in Montreal, learning French was essential. I have first hand experience in learning a new language as a young child. I became bilingual at a young age and continued to perfect and grow my mastery of the French language. Studying French Literature at University was a natural choice. As part of my Honours degree at McMaster University, I spent a year in Toulouse, France studying French, where I obtained my teaching French as a Second Language Certification.

Always knowing that I wanted to work with children as well as the French language, Montessori teachers’ college was the next obvious step. I graduated and taught Montessori, in both French and English, for 10 years. I took time off from teaching to stay home and raise my 2 beautiful children, and then re-entered the work force pursuing both of my passions. I obtained my Accelerative Integrative Methodology Certification and began using it to teach my classes. The success I had as a teacher, and my students had as oral communicators, was amazing. I have continued to use this teaching methodology for the past 15 years in Montessori classrooms.

My 18 years of Montessori classroom experience, together with my proficiency in the French language as well as the application of the A.I.M has allowed me to achieve great success in teaching French as a second language. The next natural step for me is to run Petit Paris French Academy, where I can now transfer that success on to your young scholar.

Robyn is a fantastic teacher! She intuitively understands children; how they think and feel as well as how to inspire them. She clearly loves teaching French and has helped our students make amazing progress. They loved her classes so much that they’d often line up early or try to stay longer and enjoy the next class.
